Fitness

The Hallett Community Center offers a wide variety of Group Fitness Classes, Educational Programs, Personal Training Services, and Kids Programs. These programs are the keys you and your family need to reach your wellness and fitness goals.  All  group fitness  classes  are  included with membership.

 

Aqua Fit 

Tuesday and Thursdays 9:00am-9:45am with Mary or Karen AND Wednesdays at 2:00PM
Do you want an aerobic workout with the added benefit of water resistance? How about a class without all the impact on your joints? Our class will take you through a wide range of exercise levels. Go as hard or as light as you want to! This is a great class for the very fit or a beginner!

Balanced Fitness  

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 – 9:45 AM  with Donovan
Challenge your balance and stability in this practical class. Improve the strength in key joints and some brain stimulation to keep you upright on the right path to wellness.  This is an beginner level  class for seniors.

Bike & Lift

Mondays 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM with Kim 
Get your cardio and strength training in with this 60-minute class. The first half of the class will include spin intervals, followed by strength training with dumbbells, ending with core and a  cooldown. 

Fit Over 50 

Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM with Karen AND Fridays at 10 AM with Jeffrey
Focusing on muscular strength, range of motion, activity for daily living skills, and low impact cardio. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance.  This is a intermediate level class for seniors.   

HIIT/Bootcamp

Wednesdays at 5:30 PM with Lynnette.

Spin

Join us Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings at 5:45am, and Tuesday evenings at 5:15pm for an upbeat and challenging 1-hour spin class. In spin you set your own resistance while guided by our instructor, Lori. These classes usually feature lots of energy, sweat, and music! 

Spin to the Beat

Saturdays 7:15 AM – 8:15 AM with Dani
This class is fun, fast and furious! Join Dani for interval training that incorporates upper body challenges to the beat of some upbeat songs. Open to all fitness levels, just go at your own pace!

*We are no longer requiring members to sign up for bikes. Bikes are available on a first come, first serve basis. 

Tai Chi Gung 

Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 AM -10:45 AM with Brenda
Learn the practice developed by Lao Tzu more than 3,000 years ago when he took his yoga disciplines into nature for more than 50 years to learn how to move and breathe to regenerate the body. Tai Chi Gung is a mind-body exercise that combines movements, meditation, and deep breathing. 

Yoga with Natalie

Active Flow Yoga Tuesdays at 5:00 PM and Saturdays at 8:30 AM
Improve flexibility, posture and strength while linking breath with movement for increased energy during this yoga flow. Modifications will be offered to make postures more gentle or challenging during this 60 minute class. this is an intermediate yoga class. 
 
Beginner Yoga Mondays & Wednesdays at 8:30 AM
This class will teach proper alignment while flowing through a gentle practice to stretch and destress. Beginning class but all are welcome to this 45 minute class!

Chair Yoga Fridays at 9:00 AM
Stretch, breathe and learn some of the basics of yoga, all from the comfort of a chair. 45-minute class.
 
Slow Flow Yoga Thursdays at 4:30 PM
Get in a good stretch as you slowly flow through this 60-minute class. Poses are held longer in this class and there are no chaturangas. 
*note: Slow Flow Yoga is canceled on the 4th Thursday of the month when Restorative Yoga is held (5:30 PM).
