Pumpkin Decorating Contest

October 2025

We will be hosting a community pumpkin decorating contest in the month of October! The voting window will be the last week of the month. Prizes will be awarded to winners of each category. Iron Ranger Triathlon

February 2026

We are hosting an official Triathlon event here at the Hallett Center! There are two ways to play: The Iron Ranger Short Course and the Iron Ranger Long Course. For event registration: Hallett Indoor Iron Ranger Triathlon Short Course/Long Course

Iron Ranger: Short Course

February 21st, 2026

Short course is a 1-day in-person in-house event that is limited to 100 racers. This event features a 500-yard swim, 12-mi bike, and 3-mi run. Transition times between the swim, bike, and run are included in your total time. The Short Course event will be all in-house complete with our staff or volunteers timing racers with staggered start times. Registration for this event is $45 but is discounted if you sign up early and includes a T-shirt.

Swimming will be done in our 25YD pool, biking is done on our spin bikes set to gear 12, and runners can choose from treadmill incline at 1.5 or elliptical level 12.

A virtual option is available to be completed between February 14th-20th, 2026. To participate, virtually schedule a day and time with karen.yineman@hfit.com. Participants can complete the event at the Hallett Center or any facility of their choice. Report your time using a fitness app or schedule a day and time to complete the triathlon at the Hallett Center to be timed.

Iron Ranger: Long Course

5AM February 1st – 7PM February 28th

The Long Course is a month-long event, and we will provide you with a 15-day schedule, 27-day schedule, or a blank schedule to fill out yourself. Participants can complete the event at the Hallett Center or any facility of their choice. This is on the honor system. To participate virtually contact karen.yineman@hfit.com. Fall Food Drive

September 2025

We encouraged our members to bring in donations for the month of September for our local Cuyuna Range Food Shelf! We were pleasantly surprised by the donations we received and are happy to announce we reached a total of 235 pounds of food & goods donated for the month of September! Now THAT’s giving back to the community!

 

Our Second Annual Hallett Freedom 5K

July 3rd 2025

This year was our second annual, Hallett Freedom 5K Run or Walk. This event took place on the very hot July 3rd and we had 81 participants! It was so exciting to see all of the spirit our community brought to the event with their 4th of July colors! We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors, Anderson Brothers, Graphic Packaging, Essentia Health, Davis Construction, Jamie Koop Insurance, Super One, MidMinnesota, ACE hardware, Grand Casino, The Deerstand, and Nord Hus. They provided funding, raffle prizes, refreshments, and door prizes! Thank you to all who attended and supported this event!
