Your Hallett Community Center Staff...

Maurice Slepica brings 25 years of management experience to HCC.  Prior to moving to Crosby 9 years ago, Maurice lived in LasVegas, where he was a Food & Beverage executive for 15 years, before assuming control of the Santa Fe Ice Arena.  While with Santa Fe, he also coached and managed the professional hockey team, and a youth hockey school for 2 years. Maurice played and coached minor-league professional hockey after attending Bemidji State. Maurice and his new wife, Lisa are parents to Ace and Tyler, and their hobbies include camping, gardening, cooking and church activities.

Operations Director:  Shirley Hale has been a business professional for over 20 years. S he brings a depth of experience and expertise to client organizations from her background in marketing and sales, financial management, and project management, as well as director level leadership in community service. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota. After moving across the country five times in eight years, Shirley and her husband Floyd left the rat race and moved to the area in 1994.  They are originally from a St. Paul suburb. They have one son and two grandchildren. Shirley enjoys all forms of dance especially tap and jazz.

Wellness Coordinator:  Katie Meyer is a graduate of Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa with a major in Wellness/Fitness Managment. In addition, she is an American Red Cross certified instructor for lifeguard and CPR/AED training. Katie is also a NETA (National Exercise Trainers Association) certified personal trainer and a certified Silver Sneakers group instructor!  Some of Katie's hobbies include playing basketball, softball, running, working-out, and spending time with family and friends!
