 The Hallett Community Center Arena draws many people into the Cuyuna Range through ice hockey and special events.
The HCC Arena is equipped for five months of ice skating and ice hockey. It is the home to the Crosby-Ironton-Aitkin Youth Hockey Association including their tournaments, drawing teams and their families from all reaches of Minnesota.
The Crosby-Ironton and Aitkin High Schools combine to sponsor the "Grizzlies" varsity hockey team playing out of the HCC Arena.
The Hallett Community Center operates the Lakes Area Hockey League for adults that include teams from Brainerd, Crosslake, Pequot Lakes, Deerwood and Aitkin. HCC also conducts Skating Lessons and holds various Open Skating and Open Hockey sessions each week during the winter.
During the remaining months, the HCC Arena becomes a field house for activities such as basketball, hitting golf balls and baseballs and is the base for summer Kidz Kamp.It also serves as a convention center for special events, including:
- Cuyuna Range Trade, Industry & Sports Show
- HCC Chilli Cook-Off
- Crosby Classic Car Show
- Women's Expo & Craft Show
- C-I All-Class Reunions
- Dances
- Boxing Matches
- Youth Baseball Clinics
The Arena is also equipped with a year-round walking/running track for people of all ages. We also offer hockey and skating (in season).
